On the fourth weekend of November each year, the historic town of Braidwood becomes a mecca for quilters and tourists alike as it presents the ''Quilt Event' and the famous 'Airing of the Quilts'. During the Quilt Event, Braidwood's main street glows with colour as quilts are strung up on first floor verandahs against a backdrop of ornate ironwork and wood.
